Nidd Church

Church of St Paul & St Margaret (1866)
Town
 Street, Nidd, N.Yorks, HG3 3BN

10.30 Prayer Book service every Sunday

21 January 1900

Updated

There's been a place of worship here since the 13th century, so step back in time and worship with us using the form of service that has changed little since 1662.

The Grade 2 listed church is adjacent to Nidd Hall Hotel so follow the signs for the hotel from the B6165 and you'll find the church "just round the bend".

A new look for our church yard

Nidd Church has a lovely, typically English country church yard. The Church of England suggests church yards like ours should be looked after in a more eco or conservationist way.

We’ve cut paths to all burial areas and especially around the most recent graves. The rest of the land will spend the season growing naturally and providing a habitat for wild life. Once a year it will all be cut down and the cycle will repeat itself.

So if you visit and are heard singing “The corn is as high as an elephant's eye” we’ll understand!
