Church of St Paul & St Margaret (1866)
Town Street, Nidd, N.Yorks, HG3 3BN
10.30 Book of Common Prayer service every Sunday
Photographs of the church will be appearing on this page, but meanwhile a recording of the peal of five bells here. It will take a few seconds to download.
We have recently installed an automatic bell ringing system by Smith of Derby. Each of the five bells has a small hammer fitted to it and the hammers are electronically controlled from ground level. The bells can still be rung manually from the belfry but for normal use it's now possible to toll or ring a peal at the press of a button.
Below is a picture of the belfry before it was cleaned and the pigeons confined to the outside of the tower.
(Left and below) Detail from two church windows, photographed by Derry Brabbs.
